Hyojin Day: Gongvelyans’ 2021 e-invitation for Birthday Support event

Roughly 7 weeks left until Kong Hyo Jin’s birthday on April 4 and we are inviting anyone who would like to join in this year’s birthday event. It’ll be a simple one this year, but whoever is willing to contribute are all welcome. Remaining money from this event will go towards future support. Especially for a food truck for Kkong’s new drama – if she does ends up taking on the Netflix series.

Early in the year, the admins at Gongvelyans – KHJ International Fans from Soompi decided to dedicate this year’s birthday present towards giving back to the environment as, evidently, there had been a lot of unforeseeable natural phenomenas/disasters around the globe. Especially in the last year with the increasing climate crisis and demand for climate change, the admins felt it as an important matter to be taken seriously and it could not have been the perfect timing to give back and show Kong Hyo Jin that her fans are also trying their best to be more conscious.

[20th] KHJ 20th Debut Anniversary Project!

Hello Gongvelyans!

Yes, it is as it says on the header. As we wait for details on where to send our rice wreath support to Kong and her drama, we are also preparing for a small support for Kong for her upcoming movie, The Most Ordinary Romance.

We found out about the details of the press con only this past week and we were going to send out a bouquet for Kong Hyo Jin on the day of the movie’s release. However, we learned that the other FCs are giving her a support on the day of the press con. We thought it would be great if KHJ’s fanclubs were to give her something to cheer her on on that day. We concluded

What is a rice wreath?

We were not able to give her a rice wreath during Jealousy Incarnate, and we would like to outdo ourselves and give a better donation than last times so we need your help! 🙂

We have a customised banner that we have prepared that could potentially touch Kong’s heart when she sees the wreath coming from us, her international fans, at the press conference of When Camellia Blooms,  and we are aiming to reach an amount between 180,000 Won – 480,000 Won ($153-$410 USD). The custom banner is only applicable in the more expensive range with 100kg of rice donation. It is for double the cause: supporting Kong Hyo Jin and helping the needy. So it would be greatly appreciated if we reach our target and this becomes successful!

We haven’t done something quite this large in a while and we thought donating a special rice wreath would be a perfect time to show Kong of our love and support for her, even after 3 years waiting for her new drama. This cannot go through without your help, hence our fundraising campaign. I hope this sentiment could entice people to participate in this special project and we look forward to your generous donations.
